Education
is by many said to be the key to success, however in Uganda the education
system does not fully prepare a nationals for the job market within Uganda and
yet the youths in this case are the most affected as they are the biggest
stakeholders in the country in regard to national demographics.
The Education System has overtime been a cut and paste and therefore produced
very many unproductive youth graduates in the country.
Due
to the Fact that Many university and tertiary graduates are living in absolute
poverty due to failure to be absorbed into the job market many often due to
lack of practical skills to apply within our immediate environment in Uganda. Most
graduates are unemployed, a few who could be employed are either under employed
or doing work that is not in any way related to their professions that they
attained in University.
There
is a lot of unproductively among professional youths in Uganda as a result of
the poor education system which has in return caused high rates of
unemployment, Prostitution, high crime rates, drug abuse among other vices that
are affecting youths in Uganda
There
is also lack of innovativeness, civic participation of youths as well as little
participation in leadership opportunities which has limited their decision
making mandate yet they are the majority in the country.
There
is therefore a need for a National Youth Graduates Union that will seek to
reposition youth graduates for National Development. There is therefore a need to reposition
Youth Graduates towards National Development through increasing their
Productivity through an umbrella like the Uganda national Graduates Union
